Privacy
Effective 5 September 2026. Digital Duck v1 is a dash duck and a designer. It is not a social network.
What we collect
v1 has no accounts, no mailing list, and no GPS.
- On the dash duck: your signature duck (colors, hat, handle, short tag, random duck id) and copies of ducks you collect. That stays in the device’s memory.
- On your phone: the designer runs in the browser or the Digital Duck app. A duck you send over Bluetooth goes to your board. We do not receive that payload.
- Duck-to-duck trades: two nearby boards copy each other’s signature duck over Bluetooth. No internet. No location.
This website
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any CDN, Cloudflare may see your IP address, browser type, and which pages you load, to run the site and stop abuse. We do not sell that. We do not run ads or extra analytics pixels on v1.
Bluetooth
The designer asks the phone for Bluetooth only to find a Digital Duck named board and send the 60-byte design. We do not scan for other people’s phones.
Children
This product is not directed at children under 13.
Later versions
If we add optional cloud backup of a flock, that will be opt-in, with a new policy, and a way to delete the backup. We will not silently upload your ducks.
