Privacy
Effective 8 October 2026. Digital Duck is a dash duck, a picker, and an optional Vault. It is not a social network.
What we collect
- On the dash duck: your signature duck picture, handle, and copies you collect. That stays in the device’s memory.
- Picker without an account: the 100 catalog ducks send over Bluetooth to your board. We do not receive that payload.
- Account (optional): email, password hash, optional Instagram handle. Needed for the Vault, purchases, and monthly Create.
- Email list (optional): if you join the list on the homepage, we keep your email address, the date you joined, and your country (from Cloudflare) so we can tell you when Digital Duck is ready. Email [email protected] to be removed.
- Vault: ducks you buy or create, stored so you can apply them later. We do not offer a download. Apply is Bluetooth from the website or the app to a Digital Duck.
- Digital Instagram link: if you add a handle, we show it on that duck’s public link page. We do not post to Instagram for you.
- Duck-to-duck trades: two nearby boards copy over Bluetooth. No internet. No location.
- No GPS.
This website
The site is served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may see your IP address, browser type, and which pages you load, to run the site and stop abuse. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and page loads. It does not use cookies or track you across other sites. Payments go through Stripe when checkout is on. We do not sell that data. We do not run ads on v1.
Bluetooth
The designer and Vault ask the phone for Bluetooth only to find a board named DigitalDuck and send the picture. We do not scan for other people’s phones.
Delete
Sign in → Account → Delete my account. That erases the Vault on our servers. Pictures already on a CYD stay on that board.
Children
This product is not directed at children under 13.
